Hello ladies, and gents
Today is a beautiful day and it’s August. Holy goodness. Already. I can’t believe time passes so fast. And the more you do the faster it passes. And the harder you diet, the harder it is to get some real results! So that is the thing I wanted to talk about today.
A bad diet can age you and quickly…If you’re surviving living on the couch eating chocolate in the evenings paired with ice cream and golden caramel popcorn kernels, you won’t need an expert to tell you that you are going to age quickly and badly. Heck, life is only once. Eat all the chocolate you want. But trust me, the best is only best when you do it in severe moderation. I mean don’t things stop to amuse you once you do them too often?
The implications of eating badly effect us. Things like muscle loss, weak bones, lethargy, wrinkles, a sagging face are the side effects of bad habits. Naturally, we are all predators/hunters…Meaning we’re not meant to be sitting and lazily waiting on food. By comparison though, eating a diet rich in protein, complex carbs, fruit and veggies, as well as some of your faves, will actually HELP you stay youthful. Shazam!
Tip #1: Eat plenty of GREEN! Have a beautifully GREEN day Vegetables such a broccoli, cabbage and spinach are choke full of antioxidants which fight the aging process.
Tip #2: Choose LEAN! Lean meat, lean fish….yadayada…Oily fish is actually particularly good as it is full of essential fatty acids which protect your skin, heart and hair and keep age related illness at bay.
Tip #3: Vitamins A, C, and E are essential as they help maintain the skin structure. Eat lots of Apricots, Watercress, Eggs, Tomato, Avocados and Oatmeal.
Tip #4: Take an age defying supplement like Ginko Biloba. It is also an excellent brain booster. CoQ10 is also an amazing supplement to take for firm skin and so much more.
Tip #5: Protein every day. That doesn’t mean you have to turn into a meat eating beast, ladies. I just mean that at least 25 percent of your daily intake should be protein. It’s essential for bones, teeth, hair and nails and vitality in general. Best sources are Chicken, Fish, Milk and eggs, and pea protein.
Tip #6: Eat CARBS every day. NO NO carb diets, ladies. Those are bs. We require carbs to function. There are two types of carbs….Complex and Simple. A simple carb would be a grain like pasta or bread. Simple is the carb that will leave you tired and sluggish because it’s processed.
Tip #7: Eat fat every day. Not all fat is bad for health or skin. The body requires unsaturated fats for cell growth, fertility and skin. Fat that is healthy can be found in nuts and seeds. Try to also use RAW undiluted oils in your food all the time.
Anyways, ladies…I’m on my way out to work out. Because other than having a proper diet. I have to be honest with you, that is the best way to keep fit. Just get out and get your competitive spirit out there.
